Open Dutch Championship and Beer Festival

Open Dutch Championship and Beer Festival 3 June

Come and enjoy the beer and experience festival on 3 and 4 June on the museum grounds of Open Air Museum de Locht. The Guild Dionysos, the North Limburse guild for making beer, cheese, liqueur and wine, organizes this year the Open Dutch Championship amateur beer brewing. The award ceremony will take place on Saturday at 16:00.

Taste the dozens of specialty beers from various small-scale breweries in the region while enjoying delicious dishes and cozy live music. There is a lot of attention for amateur beer brewing with lectures about the brewing process and demonstrations. A mobile tasting brewery brews beer on site. On our museum grounds is “Het Brouwhuis”, the home of the Guild.

It’s not just about beer, though. This beautiful region is a real tourist attraction, known for the delicacies of this region such as asparagus, mushrooms and blueberries. In addition to tasting beer, you can also enjoy culinary delights. Experience North Limburg on the Locht. On Sundays, various craftsmen are present to show their craftsmanship.

The entrance fee for the festival (museum visit included) is € 12.50. For this you will receive a tasting glass and 3 coins. Festival opening hours: Saturday from 12:00 to 22:00 and Sunday from 12:00 to 20:00. Free bus connection to and from the stations Venray or Horst-Sevenum and Open Air Museum de Locht.
