On Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 May there will be a special exhibition in Open Air Museum de Locht. We not only show you all kinds of electronics from a bygone era, but also tell you what it was for. If possible, we demonstrate how it all worked. Very interesting for the enthusiast of equipment in the field of voltage, current and frequencies.
These are mostly electronics from agriculture and horticulture, which were used in the past. The first measuring and control equipment in the sector, which still consisted of buttons, levers and sliders. But we also show typical objects from our depot, such as an old train telephone or the predecessor of a dynamo from 1700. The development of the equipment went fast.
The need to be able to regulate more automatically grew. By working more efficiently, you could collect more yield. The existing technology no longer met the standards or parts were no longer available. Training and knowledge about technology were now necessary. Practical insight was also needed to run such a business. And… you had to invest!
Those interested in technology can indulge themselves these days in our museum. There are gems among them. Basically, those old devices were really well put together. Come and have a look and enjoy.
