Making your own paper from waste paper is a fun, “green” activity. Processing residual material in this way is really a way of recycling. An educational and fun activity. All children like to mess around.
The waste paper must be torn into very small pieces. Then add water and if you leave that mass for a while, a pulp is formed. You can possibly edit it with an old hand blender. Because this whole process takes some time, the volunteers prepare this part in advance.
Children are given a scoop window and are allowed to scoop paper. The wet mess should eventually become a dry sheet of paper. That will be completely fine under the excellent guidance of our experienced volunteers. Make your own paper! Curious? Give it a try.
