This weekend our medieval farm will be put in the spotlight. The farm has been rebuilt on the spot where in 2009 the pile holes of the original Lochthoeve from around 1320 were found. The story of the excavation will be told by the archaeologist involved. In and around the farm, volunteers take on the role of the medieval inhabitants. They make potagie (a kind of vegetable soup), dipping candles, working flax, spinning wool and doing all kinds of other things that belonged to a household in the Middle Ages. For the children there are medieval games and they can make a kroetwis.
